Overview

The whole island in one day: the Cabo Santa Maria wreck, a village tasting in Bofareira, lunch on the beach, sandboarding, Varandinha and Santa Mónica.

Our most complete day out. The morning belongs to the north and village life: the legendary Cabo Santa Maria wreck on Praia da Atalanta, then Bofareira, where you taste grogue, ponche and freshly fried pastéis before a guided walk past the school, the football pitch and the village garden. After a full lunch at Pérola de Chaves on the beach, the afternoon is all dunes and dream beaches — sandboarding at Morro de Areia, Turtle & Shark Bay, the rock caves of Varandinha, and a final swim at Santa Mónica.

Itinerary

    Pickup at your hotel

    We meet you just outside your hotel entrance at the security gate and set off in the 4x4.

  2. Stop 1

    The shipwreck — Cabo Santa Maria

    Off-road to the wild north coast and Praia da Atalanta to see the legendary stranded freighter.

  3. Stop 2

    Bofareira — culture & village walk

    A free tasting of traditional grogue, sweet ponche and freshly fried Cape Verdean pastéis, followed by a guided walk through the village community.

  4. Stop 3

    Lunch on the beach — Pérola de Chaves

    A relaxed lunch at a beautiful restaurant right on the beach. The meal is fully included; drinks are ordered and paid on site.

  5. Stop 4

    Morro de Areia & sandboarding

    Beautiful dunes right by the sea, with the chance to sandboard.

  6. Stop 5

    Turtle & Shark Bay

    Look out for the local marine life along the coast.

    Turtle and shark sightings are a natural experience that depends on sea conditions, weather and tides, so they cannot be guaranteed.

    Varandinha Beach

    Explore the impressive natural rock caves right on the Atlantic.

  8. Stop 7

    Santa Mónica Beach — swim & relax

    The perfect finale at Cape Verde's most famous beach: time to swim, relax and enjoy.
