Overview

A relaxed Sunday morning: golden dunes, coastal wildlife, Varandinha's caves and beach time at Santa Mónica, ending with grogue and ponche at Restaurante Origem.

Our Sunday-only half day, back at your hotel by about 13:00 so you can enjoy the rest of your day. Begin with the golden dunes of Morro de Areia above the Atlantic, look out over Turtle & Shark Bay and explore the natural limestone caves of Varandinha. The highlight is beach time at Santa Mónica, ending at the new Restaurante Origem right on the sand with a free tasting of traditional grogue and sweet ponche.

    Pickup at your hotel

    We meet you just outside your hotel entrance at the security gate and set off in the 4x4.

  2. Stop 1

    Morro de Areia — golden dunes

    Spectacular dunes right on the Atlantic — the perfect place for photos to start your Sunday.

  3. Stop 2

    Turtle & Shark Bay

    A glimpse into the fascinating underwater world along the coast.

    Turtle and shark sightings are a natural experience that depends on sea conditions, weather and tides, so they cannot be guaranteed.

  4. Stop 3

    Varandinha Beach

    Natural limestone caves and wild rock formations right by the sea.

  5. Stop 4

    Santa Mónica & Restaurante Origem

    Beach time and a swim at Cape Verde's most famous beach, then a relaxed stop at the new Restaurante Origem with a free grogue and ponche tasting. Snacks and extra drinks can be ordered on site.

    Return to your hotel

    A relaxed drive back with drop-off at your hotel's main entrance.
